Centrex 2000 AF
The larger composting drum in the Centrex 2000 AF (Air Flow) allows a longer composting cycle, and larger waste volumes. The increased surface area in the evaporating chamber also provides better evaporation. When used seasonally by up to 9 adults, compost will normally only need to be removed annually at the beginning of the cottage season. If used in a residence, the drum would have to be rotated backwards to empty some compost into the finishing drawer once every few months, where it remains to finish composting before removal. The Centrex 2000 AF (Air Flow) is designed for use with a Sun-Mar Dry Toilet (purchased separately). This unit is ideal for those who do not have water, but still want the composting action to take place outside of the bathroom area. The Centrex 2000 AF is normally able to evaporate all liquids, so the drains must be connected only if heavy use (i.e. use at or over maximum capacity, or residential use) or prolonged power outages are expected. The Centrex 2000 AF features a 370 watt thermostatically controlled heater in a sealed compartment under the unit and the standard Sun-Mar 30 watt turbo fan, with a 2" vent stack to remove the evaporate and fresh odors. The AF Waterless Kit (purchased separately) contains a 41" pipe piece that is 10" in diameter and is used to connect the dry toilet to the Centrex unit. The pipe piece can be cut to size and additional pieces ordered if necessary. The Dry Toilet needs to be directly above the unit so that there is a straight drop. This unit should evaporate all liquid unless it is being used heavily. A 1" drain hose is supplied for hooking up the drain in any case, since we recommend it for most residential use or heavier cottage use.
The Sun-Mar Centrex 2000 is designed for medium to heavy cottage or light residential use. The Centrex 2000 is an electric unit for those with a constant electric supply. All Sun-Mar composting toilets incorporate a patented Bio-drum which ensures fast and odorless decomposition. Saves thousands of gallons of water, while recycling waste into soil. The unit is shipped fully assembled. A one pint flush toilet is required for use with this unit (sold separately). Seasonal capacity: 7 adults or families of 9. Residential use: 4 adults or families of 6. Other optional configurations available for this system include: 1) Waterless operation: This configuration requires the separate purchase of the Sun-Mar Dry toilet and the Sun-Mar A/F Waterless kit 2) Dual electric and non-electric operation: This configuration requires the separate purchase of the Sun-Mar AC/DC kit.
