herringbone flooring, thin brick wall panel, tiny house kitchen

The Rook is a small home on wheels that takes on a modern industrial aesthetic that’s carried from the fine details on the exterior to the entire design on the inside. Its moody lighting accentuates the high-design finished throughout the house like the brick veneer and herringbone hardwood floors that tie it all together.

The kitchen is equipped with all the main appliances, custom concrete countertops, shaker style cabinets, and a small peninsula bar with seating for two. Custom shelving and storage options are built-in providing plenty of space to keep the home organized.

Black countertops, floating shelves and copper faucet

A wood and metal floating staircase lead up to the master loft that will fit a king-size bed. On the opposite side of the house is a secondary utility loft that contains more built-ins, the washer and dryer combo machine, and the system’s hub for easy maintenance.

Tiny House Living room with floating stairs and loft

Elegant yet industrial, a unique design and color scheme that constitute The Rook’s beauty and make it stand out from its contemporaries and other small houses. The black panels installed seamlessly on the exterior give a neat finish to this tiny house on wheels and fit very well in the modern, snazzy theme. These panels are laid vertically in a shiplap manner that are attached in a pattern with stainless steel screws that pop out against the dark backdrop of black panels. The windows blend well in the exterior as their frames are also jet black in color.

Iron pipe shelving in tiny home

The Rook is filled with unique features and you will be nothing but impressed upon entering the house. The great room is capacious and holds multiple long open shelves for stacking photo frames or other interior décor items that would decorate the living room area. A proper cabinet is also provided in this room for additional storage. The most modish feature of The Rook is the floating stairs that lead up to the bedroom loft. These stairs are affixed in the wall that has a brick wall appearance and looks very classy.

Our Thoughts

Well designed and well priced, the Rook is a top-notch choice for those looking for a high-designed tiny house that doesn’t break the bank. With many upgradable add-ons and the ability to customize, you could refine it as you like.

Functionally, the Rook has everything you need in a small home and has an open and well-flowing floor plan. The floating staircase helps keep the layout spacious and adds to the moody vibes.
