Jay Shafer and Lindsay Wood

Which Tiny House Movement?

The Tiny House Movement has come to mean many things to many people. Its inclusive philosophy and broad definitions have allowed for a wide range of ideas about what constitutes a tiny house, what the movement's about and where it's headed. It is, by now, a movement comprised of several movements, all of which fit neatly within its parameters at large. But not every house is tiny, and not every idea fits so neatly under the umbrella the Movement provides.

Jay Shafer will be discussing what happened when a group of people began working together to advance their shared ideas about housing, some of the resulting movement's most influential subsets and what happened when aspiring politicians and profiteers began claiming affiliation with the group to advance their own divergent agendas.
