In a world where excess often overshadows simplicity, Sakura by Acorn Tiny Homes revolutionizes the concept of living spaces. This winner of the Tiny Home Awards 2023 invites you to embrace a sustainable lifestyle within its 225 square feet of creative design.

It's more than a home; it's an artistic expression of practicality and simplicity, with features like all-metal roofing, an all-electric setup, four triple-glazed windows, and an invisible kitchen concept.

Could you ever imagine comfort and efficiency co-existing in such a harmonious relationship? Don't just picture it, explore the possibilities within Sakura, where your journey towards compact and sustainable living is about to unfold.

A Look Inside

Step inside Sakura, and you'll immediately encounter a harmonious blend of efficiency and comfort, reflected in design elements like the invisible kitchen concept, extensive built-in cabinetry, and a modular workstation that disappears when not needed.

The invisible kitchen is a marvel in itself, showcasing a quartz countertop, induction cook stove, dishwasher, built-in oven/microwave, fridge, and a washer/dryer combo, all cleverly hidden to maximize space. The modular workstation is designed to be a versatile companion for your daily tasks, retracting effortlessly when you're ready for downtime.

As you navigate through Sakura's carefully planned layout, you'll spot the bed that slides under the living room floor, freeing up over 100 square feet of space, transforming your sleeping quarters into a social hub in seconds. Nearby is the spa-like bathroom with its fully tiled walls and floor, and 9' ceiling. The skylight above the shower floods the space with natural light, adding a touch of luxury to your daily routine.

Despite its compact size, Sakura doesn't compromise on storage. You'll find 17 square feet of loft storage, perfect for stashing away your essentials, and built-in cabinetry that seamlessly integrates with the house's minimalist aesthetic.

Sakura's commitment to sustainable living is evident in its energy-efficient windows, ductless mini-split with a heat pump, and over-the-toilet sink that recycles greywater. And let's not forget the ERV, ensuring healthy air circulation throughout the house. These thoughtful touches are what make Sakura a testament to harmonious, efficient, and sustainable living.

What made it shine?

Sakura's victory in the Creative Use of Space award was due to its innovative design, commitment to sustainability, and efficient space utilization in its 225 square feet of living space, featuring high-energy efficiency with R29 walls, and all-metal roofing. The interior showcases an all-electric setup with sustainable features like a tankless water heater, extensive built-in cabinetry, an invisible kitchen, and a sliding bed that increases available space. The kitchen and bathroom impress with high-end finishes like quartz countertops and fully tiled surfaces, smart eco-friendly features like a greywater recycling sink, and luxurious elements such as a 9' ceiling and skylight in the bathroom.
