VIM Saunas: Modern Finnish-Style Wellness, Designed for Everyday Living

VIM is redefining what it means to bring wellness home. With a focus on clean lines, quality materials, and functional design, VIM’s modern Finnish-style saunas are crafted to fit seamlessly into everyday life. Built in the U.S. using durable components and time-tested techniques, each sauna offers a practical yet considered approach to outdoor wellness—whether as a personal retreat or a shared family ritual.
Founded by a small team of designers, builders, and wellness practitioners, VIM’s mission is simple: to make the benefits of sauna more accessible. The brand operates out of Austin, Texas and Ashland, Wisconsin, producing handcrafted saunas that combine Nordic influence with American manufacturing. The result is a product that reflects a commitment to craftsmanship, longevity, and modern design—without the complexity of full custom builds.
VIM currently offers three sauna models: Oblique, Bezier, and Cubist—each with its own visual identity and construction approach.
Oblique: Fast Assembly, Clean Form

The Oblique sauna is VIM’s most streamlined option—designed for quick delivery, efficient assembly, and consistent performance. Delivered as a flat-pack kit, the Oblique can be assembled in under four hours by two people with basic tools, making it an ideal solution for homeowners seeking a simple, high-quality setup.
The structure is made from cross-laminated timber and precision-cut panels, fabricated in VIM’s Ashland, Wisconsin facility. Its design is inspired by midcentury modern architecture, featuring a distinctive slanted roofline that isn’t just visual—it directs heat and steam efficiently toward the bench area, improving heat circulation. The tempered glass window and minimalist detailing make the unit feel open and connected to its surroundings.
Inside, the Oblique maintains a clean and functional aesthetic. Clear-grade cedar benches can be folded up to create room for stretching, resistance workouts, or hot yoga. Warm fiber optic lighting creates a calm environment, and heating is powered by either a Finnish-made IKI 9kW pillar heater or a Canadian 6kW HomeCraft unit—both controllable via WiFi. Exterior cladding options include thermally treated woods and metal finishes like black spruce, corten steel, and aspen thermal.
Starting at $17,950, the Oblique is VIM’s most accessible option, with batch deliveries beginning in October 2025.
Bezier: Functional Architecture with Purposeful Design

For those seeking a more permanent, integrated build, the Bezier sauna offers a distinctive architectural form. Manufactured in Austin, Texas, and professionally installed on-site, the Bezier is defined by its curved profile—a design that not only adds visual interest but also improves heat distribution across the upper benches.
Built with a cold-rolled steel frame and thermally treated exterior cladding, the Bezier is engineered for long-term performance in all climates. With optional windows and a glass door, the space remains bright while still retaining heat efficiently. Like other VIM models, the interior features sustainably sourced cedar benches, subtle lighting, and the option to use the space for movement or stretching thanks to hinged bench designs.
This model includes a choice of high-performance heaters, with the IKI and HomeCraft electric options standard, and WiFi controls via Uku. The Bezier starts at $27,500, with production beginning in August 2025 and deliveries scheduled for the fall. Installation is included in the price, and transport costs are passed through at actual cost if they exceed the brand’s $1,500 flat rate.
Cubist: A Timeless Shape, Built to Last

The Cubist sauna offers a clean, geometric profile that fits well in both modern and traditional outdoor settings. The cube shape is popular in Nordic sauna culture for its structural simplicity and efficient use of space. VIM’s interpretation balances that form with modern upgrades, like a cantilevered roof and wide customization options for cladding, windows, and finish materials.
Also fabricated in Austin, the Cubist is built with a cold-rolled steel frame and features thermally treated hardwoods or metal cladding. Bench seating is made of clear-grade cedar, and the layout can be adapted to fit spaces as small as 5x5 feet or as large as 8x10 feet. The design ensures even heat distribution and proper airflow throughout.
The Cubist also supports hot yoga and resistance training, with folding benches and durable flooring. Heating and lighting options match the other models, with premium heaters and fiber optic accents available. The sauna starts at $23,500, and like the Bezier, includes professional installation.
A Practical Approach to Wellness
While each sauna has its own character, all VIM products share a consistent set of values: ease of use, long-term durability, and thoughtful design. Whether opting for the plug-and-play nature of the Oblique or the semi-custom build of the Bezier or Cubist, customers are guided through a process that prioritizes simplicity—from virtual design consultations to coordinated delivery and ongoing support.
VIM’s team provides CAD drawings, material samples, and personalized design input before production begins. Once the sauna is built and delivered, on-site assembly is handled with minimal disruption, and VIM continues to provide assistance long after the installation is complete.
