The Details:

As we step towards this unique abode, the first sight to greet us is the striking shell of Structural Insulated Panels (SIP’s). Clad in gray-stained cedar lap siding and punctuated with patches of natural-stained cedar shakes, the structure gracefully marries elegance with durability. The galvanized corrugated roof, a gleaming silver under the wide sky, crowns this tiny home, drawing the eye upwards and hinting at the innovative design within.

Step through the threshold via a set of charming French Doors, perched delicately above the wheel well. These doors open onto a raised platform, standing about a foot above the main floor. Don't let its seemingly simplistic appearance fool you - below this platform are cunningly hidden pull-out drawers, providing essential storage space in a stylish and unobtrusive manner.

To the left of the platform, a ladder invites you to ascend into a cozy loft above, spacious enough to nestle a queen-sized bed. The loft, under a roof adorned with dormers on either side, offers increased head height and an airy ambience. This thoughtful design ensures that even in sleep, the home's residents are cradled in comfort and style.

Returning to the main floor, the right end of the lower platform reveals another intriguing surprise - a second, higher platform that houses the kitchen. Tucked beneath this elevated nook, a full-sized bed slides out effortlessly, ready to accommodate overnight guests. A petite, elegant couch veils the end of the bed and can be rolled out of the way as needed. Look closely, and you'll find more ingenious storage solutions in this space - trap doors have been installed in the dead spaces of the platform, discreetly hiding away clutter.

The kitchen itself is a beautiful example of space optimization. Separated from the living area by a drop-leaf bar-top that can accommodate two or three seats, this culinary corner offers both functionality and intimacy in equal measures.

Journey to the back of the trailer to discover a luxuriously appointed wet bath, boasting an array of exquisite tiles that provide a splash of understated opulence. A sliding barn door adds a rustic charm to this sanctuary, while a custom-designed, exposed shower faucet doubles as the sink spout, a nod to the house's commitment to space efficiency and smart design. It's not visible in pictures, but tucked discreetly on the opposite side of the shower wall is a Nature’s Head composting toilet, aligning the home's amenities with sustainable living practices.

Adjacent to the wet bath is a versatile nook, designed with future expansions in mind. It currently serves as additional storage, but its true purpose lies in its ability to transform into a crib nook, ready to welcome a baby when the time comes.

All in all, Albuquerque is a harmonious blend of simplicity and sophistication, boasting volumes of space and premium finishes. Its layout is the great example of thoughtful design, tailored not just for current needs but also with an eye on an expanding family's future.
