The Companion is a 30' tiny house on wheels that has been pre-engineered and designed by Back Porch Homes to be permitted as an alternative dwelling unit (ADU) in California and beyond. It's the little sister to the Companion+.
As you walk in your eye will be drawn to the massive kitchen with plenty of countertop space and built in storage. With generous cabinetry, closet space, and other storage, there’s a place for everything. The Companion may be tiny, but it should never feel tiny and cluttered.
Just past the kitchen you'll find a spacious bathroom with a large stand up shower. The bathroom is ADA compatible and offers gorgeous fixtures and hardware, high quality interior finishes, modern technology, and energy efficient systems.
On the opposite side of the house, the large flex space can be used as a main floor bedroom and living room or office.
It comes standard with all stainless steel kitchen appliances, a Microwave and TV, with optional Refrigerator, Dishwasher, Freestanding Range, and combo Washer/Dryer. ADA compliant is an add on option.
The Companion is an economical option for those looking for a tiny house with all the standard necessary features and appliances, some extra space all while keeping costs very reasonable. It's fairly limited from a custom design feature standpoint but comes with just about everything you need to get started.
Overall, it's a decent value buy if you're looking for a well built tiny house by a certified builder in California. With the options to be permitted as an ADU is a huge plus and their Back Porch Homes lead time is very reasonable (at least right now!)
